Devices Compatible With Butterfly iQ/iQ+/iQ3

To use a Butterfly probe, install the Butterfly iQ app on a supported phone or tablet. iQ / iQ+ / iQ3 connect via Lightning or USB-C. You can use a swappable cable on iQ+ and iQ3 to switch between connectors.

Some devices are explicitly not supported (e.g., certain international variants or “a” series Pixels). See notes under each section.

Apple iOS

The Butterfly iQ app supports devices on iOS 17.0 or newer. Beta versions of iOS aren’t supported.

Tip: Use tablet mode; DeX (desktop) mode isn’t supported.

The international variants of Galaxy S10 and Note10 don’t meet the data transfer threshold for clinical imaging; only the US and Canada editions are supported. Tab S6 Lite and Tab S7 FE are not supported.

Requires Android 12 or newer. Beta builds aren’t supported.

Android Devices — OnePlus

OnePlus devices are no longer supported as of app version 2.33.0.

Availability of presets and imaging modes can vary by country/region.
